After 4000 years, Israel still center stage of controversy

LONGWOOD, FL- Learn more about God's original blueprint for His people Israel. Why is that tiny nation still the center of controversy in the present day? So much can be explained about our Middle Eastern news today through The Called, a new novel that turns back to the pages of Genesis to find answers to today's puzzling questions. History, from several thousand years ago, comes knocking on our door today. Discover the in-depth Genesis account, and find out why this first book of the Bible is so important, encompassing the beginning of all mankind. Written in the narrative voice of the prophet Enoch, The Called elaborates on events from the time God began creating (both visibly and invisibly) up until the changing of Jacob's name to Israel.

The Called (September, $13.99, 1-59781-464-4) by Rahman Reuben is an un-intimidating compliment to the first 32 chapters of Genesis, intent on making God's story clear to all "seekers of truth." The author was inspired to draw from several resources including the Ryrie KJV Study Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls translations of the ancient books of Enoch, the Book of the Secrets of Enoch, Adam and Eve, and Jubilees. Most intriguing is its intricate pre-flood account from Adam to Noah, including the era of the wicked angels descending and fathering the vile Nephilim, and God's reasoning for the calling, utilization, and translation of Enoch to heaven. Christians will find this "novel" truly inspirational. Non-Christians will be moved by its un-intimidating introduction to God's plan and be comfortably introduced to the fundamental beliefs of Christianity.

Rahman Reuben started life as a Catholic but from age 6 was raised Jehovah's Witness. At age 25 he began seeking God for himself. At 28 he heard the true call of the gospel of Jesus Christ and one year later entered his own personal relationship with Him. When Rahman was 34, the Holy Spirit gave him an epiphany of the story/plan of God in an experience that was truly visionary, and he began diligently seeking God to provide a way for him to proclaim God's story/plan. In 1985, at age 35, God provided Rahman a sabbatical, with pay, and began constantly speaking inwardly to him. By the end of 1987 he had received manuscripts for two parts of a trilogy and the beginning research for the third. Then silence. It has taken almost twenty years of GodŐs perfect timing for Book 1: The Called to come to publication.
