"Captured" by God in his early teens, Robert Reeves knew he wanted to serve Him by the time he was ready to attend high school. It was through God that he was exposed to many godly men. When he married his wife, Jane, they began working at inner-city missions together. Later on, they both served God in a variety of ways, during which time he realized He was leading Reeves to be a teacher of the Word. This was when he began seriously searching the Bible to understand its true messages some of which are contained in Blessed Assurance.
Robert C. Reeves was licensed to preach by Memorial (Conservative) Baptist Church, Cortland, New York, served as home missionary under MidMissions, and was ordained in Southern Baptist ministry, St. Louis, Missouri. He served as a pastor, home missionary, Bible teacher, social service administrator, and teacher. Currently retired, he still teaches the Bible and has begun Christian writing.
