LONGWOOD, FL-Having spent countless hours listening to other people's problems, Dr. Stephen Critchlow found that many of his patients were confused by their suffering and did not really believe God loved them. So, like any good doctor, he came up with an antidote. His book, Finding the Yes in the Mess: Discovering the Love of God in a Broken World (paperback, 978-1-60266-110-3), challenges traditional views of suffering and offers readers hope for the pain in their lives. Through a hodgepodge of anecdotes, pithy sayings, and quotations, the book will give readers a new understanding of the origins of suffering and how to find practical help. Those who blame God will receive fresh understanding, hope, and new direction.
"Most books on suffering provide well-worn clichˇs," says Dr. Critchlow. "This book will give readers a new worldview and help them to find the 'yes' in life, despite the 'mess' of today's world."
The author has spent 30 years as a doctor, several of those as a consultant psychiatrist and counselor. During the span of his long and fruitful career, Dr. Critchlow has applied truth to himself and to large numbers of hurting people, people who need the love and empathy he exudes in opening up the mysteries of the human heart.
