LONGWOOD, FL-In her 19 years with the military, author Tara McAdoo has faced a multitude of journeys and experiences-all of which painted a clear picture of God's mercy and grace. "No matter where I was and what situation I faced, I still praised and worshiped God," says the author. Now, in Glorious Expressions (paperback, 978-1-60266-343-5; hardcover, 978-1-60266-344-2), she shares her own spiritual insights and encouragement through poetry.
Unlike some works of poetry, Glorious Expressions is easy to read and understand. The passages before each poem and the included Scripture will help readers understand the significance of the poem and how it relates to the Word of God. For Christians, the poems depict past, present, or future experiences and will cause them to meditate and give thought to the spiritual issue at hand.
When McAdoo deployed to Afghanistan in support of the global war on terrorism in 2004, God inspired her to write the majority of this book. "The book is unique," says McAdoo. "It addresses many issues that believers face in their Christian walk. We will face different things in our Christian walk, but if we walk according to GodŐs Word, we will have victory in any situation and everlasting life in the end."
Tara McAdoo was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama. She is married to Darryl and has three children, Darius, Darion, and Makayla.
