A New Look at Revelation
Author offers "three rapture" end-times theory

LONGWOOD, FLÑAs many Christians realize, it's generally the norm to accept the current thinking about biblical concepts such as the end-times. But what if our presuppositions regarding God's objectives throughout the book of Revelation are wrong? Why would it be important for us to know what God originally intended?

"We realize there is much more to GodÕs word than meets the eye. We know there has been a haze of confusion and disagreement surrounding events of the last days," says Ty S. Lamb, author of Three Raptures: Exploring the Possibilities (paperback, 978-1-60477-088-9; hardcover, 978-1-60477-089-6). "What if we haven't seen all there is to see about end-times events because of our preconceived notions?"

Lamb suggests that it may be time to press through the restrictions of accepted doctrine and explore a few more questions, such as: What if there were three raptures? Does the scenario fit? Is it theologically sound? What are the implications of this? In answering those questions, Lamb hopes to prepare the body of ChristÑthe churchÑfor the rapture and return of Jesus Christ.

Ty Lamb has an agricultural background and received his bachelor's degree in pastoral ministry from Arizona College of the Bible in 1997. He graduated with high honors and was the recipient of two scholarships. For the past 15 years, his ministry has focused on preaching, teaching, and deliverance counseling, and now includes speaking, writing, and leading a small team of prayer intercessors that travels across the country. Debbie, his wife of 27 years, has a master's in Christian counseling and therapy from Southern Christian University. They have three adult children and reside in Arizona.
