Buzz Kicks Up a Notch as Book Releases

That buzz you hear? It's the sound of excited chatter in the Midwest. Bobby Hopper, a native of Fillmore, Indiana, has generated interest in his book To Win, Build and Send. Says Hopper, "There is a buzz in our community about the book. There was an article about it in the Banner Graphic [a local newspaper in neighboring Greencastle, Indiana], and I was asked to speak with the Greater Terre Haute Churches Association about the concept of the book."

Xulon Press Alum Secures Spot as Featured Author on Webzine

Jeff Ovall has landed a primo spot as Yellow 30 Sci-Fi's recent featured author. The webzine, located at www.yellow30scifi.com, provides a platform to promote self-published authors and is dedicated to spotlighting both lesser-known and famous voices of science fiction and fantasy. According to Ovall, "They read my first novel, Chronicles of the Hedge, and loved it. Then they read my second novel, The Man Who Saved Christmas, and asked if I would be a featured author for their site." The author is certainly no stranger to the sci-fi genre. In Chronicles of the Hedge, he explores the futurist view of a one-world government at the very edge of human history. The Man Who Saved Christmas is a witty observation of the political debates that arise every Christmas during the display of the nativity scene.

Xulon Author Trounces 'Struggling Pastor' Curse

Struggling pastors need to look to Moses as inspiration to remain committed in their ministry work, says Dr. Greg Morris, author of In Pursuit of Leadership. Morris, a pastor himself, certainly isnŐt struggling these days. Tim Way, senior buyer for Family Christian Stores, the world's largest chain of Christian bookstores, recently contacted Morris to sell his book in their largest business and leadership stores. The company's Lakeland, Florida, store can't keep copies of the book on the shelf for long. In addition, Morris was written up in a press release titled Struggling Pastors Can Find Inspiration from Flawed Leader for PRWeb, a press release distribution service for small businesses and individuals (http://www.legalservicesinfo.info/page/5/).
