Author Stays Busy During Holiday Months via Book Signings
Xulon author Dennis G. Aaberg has been hard at work promoting his latest book, Jesus' Last Seminar, through signings at various Christian bookstores near his hometown. In November and December, Aaberg made appearances at two different Northwestern Bookstore locations and Bread of Life Bookstore, events that were all well-attended and created positive buzz for the author. The author's book contains the essential teachings of Jesus and provides a clear understanding of God's triune nature, contains Jesus' mandate for believers to walk in love and unity, and issues a warning to those within His body who produce no fruit. |

Positive Feedback Floods in for Xulon Press Author
In God Who Are You? author David Huyard tells the story of the struggle his family encountered in leaving the Amish and everyone they knew behind to pursue God's call upon their lives. Thus far, the author says the feedback from readers has been incredibly positive, and the book has been life-changing in several instances. "Since I work for Wal-Mart, I meet many people every day," he explains. "But more than that, I have God's favor. I am allowed to promote my book even while I'm on the clock. The manager wants to put me in touch with the people responsible for their book sales; if this works out, it will explode."
Thus far, the author says one lady in the personnel department at Wal-Mart said the book has changed her husband. His pastor has also provided him with the unparalleled opportunity to share his book with a congregation of several thousand-an event that saw the distribution of more than three cases of books with proceeds donated to the church. Additionally, a Pennsylvania-based funeral director is giving copies of the book to families who have experienced the loss of a loved one, and a man who has a street ministry picked up a case of books from the author that he distributed at the Courthouse Square in the author's hometown of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
"I recommend Xulon Press to anyone who is thinking about publishing a book since everyone has been so helpful and kind in every step of the process," he adds. "Thanks again to everyone who was involved in the production process; I look forward to seeing what the book will do on the Internet as time goes on."

Author Utilizes Word of Mouth Marketing to Promote Inspirational Book
According to Pastor Bryan and Cindy Mann, Rita Sullivan's new release, Lordship Through Friendship: An Inspirational Journey, the book weaves a conversational tapestry of life's struggles, and readers will gain a clearer understanding that prayer life and devotional time are meant to be a time in which we converse with God. Ever since receiving her first order of 151 books on December 16, 2009, Sullivan has sold a total of 95 copies to family and friends. Thus far, Sullivan has found word of mouth to be an invaluable marketing tool in her quest to promote her book.
"One woman indicated to me that she was not a reader," she says. "I told her that was fine, but I wanted to at least give her the opportunity to purchase a copy from my first print run. I delivered her co-worker's copy last Friday. That night, my husband and I were shopping at Wal-Mart and a woman walked up and tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Hey, Rita, bring me one of your books. I picked up my co-worker's copy and read some of it on my break this afternoon. It's very interesting and I want a copy of my own.'"
As for future plans, the author hopes to continue scheduling book signings and other public appearances in order to promote her book. She has already made appearances at her church where she autographed copies of her work for those who had already ordered them. "I have been asked by my pastor to lead a weekend retreat in late spring or early summer 2010," she adds. "I also have two tentative book signings scheduled for early spring. Lastly, sometime in January or February 2010, I will be promoting my book in our Women of Faith group at church because the pastor's wife wants to use my book for this Bible study group and has asked me to lead it. At present, this has been my means of promoting/publicizing the book, which has worked extremely well."
