Chick-fil-A Taps Wilson as Part of 'Family Night'
Marti Wilson, the author of Constance Complainer, was invited to have a book signing at a local Chick-fil-A as part of their "family night." The signing was a huge success, and Wilson has been invited to return anytime to hold other signings. She has a second book signing scheduled at Chick-fil-A for later this month. She was also interviewed in her local community newspaper prior to her first book signing in March 2007. Additionally, her college will be spotlighting the book in its forthcoming alumni magazine. The issue will have an article on college community members who have been published and, upon learning of Wilson's publication of a children's book, the magazine offered to include information on her book in the article. |

Word Spreads About Book 14 Years in the Making
Rick Gowdy has climbed the ladder of success all the way to the top with his Agape Love, How Important Is It Anyhow? A book 14 years in the making, it stemmed from the fact that the author could not realize why biblical godly love was not being taught thoroughly as a doctrine. He was included in an article of the Canon City Daily Record and made an appearance at Words of Life Christian Book Store in his hometown of Canon City. Despite his powerhouse success, nothing could prepare him for the recent death of his wife of 20 years. "She taught me far more about how to love than all I have ever studied," says Gowdy. "To say she was my example would be an understatement." |

Author's Book Sales Skyrocket Amid Local Exposure
Just as radio evangelist Charles Stanley described how a person on a camping trip with a camera sees things differently from a person without a camera, a person with Diana Crews' City on a Hill Prayer Journal will see their life in such a different manner that they can't help but focus on God. As the author toured her home state of Alabama doing publicity work, she found this to be the case in her readers' responses. So far, Crews has held a book signing at Dove's Christian Supply Store in Dothan where, to her delight, all remaining copies of her book sold like hotcakes. Dove's other store in Enterprise was also sold out. The author, who has interviewed with Ann Varnum of WTVY Dothan and plans a future book signing at The Lighthouse in Auburn-Opelika, attributes all her success to one source: "I thank God for the work He is doing as this is truly His book." |
