Child of Scorn Reborn introduces the author, Chicken, and tells her life story
of how God has taken a broken life and put it back together with His precious
saving grace. Chicken was a little Italian baby at the age of five days old who
was left at the hospital and sold by her mother to an older hill mountain
couple for two hundred dollars. At the age of four years old she knew her life
would be different, and it certainly was, so she started writing her life story.
Chicken wrote her story from “the mind of a little four-year-old
hill youngin that didn’t know what the real world was about,” said Chicken. “I
only knew what my world was. Part of this is written the way I talked in the
hills. It’s about how I lived and thought as a little hill youngin. I could not
write my story as we speak today because I did not live as we live today; my
world was different and my life was different.” Child of Scorn Reborn tells
Chicken’s story and draws readers to Jesus as she encounters Him along the way.
Chicken’s mission in life is to give everyone
hope in Jesus Christ. After reading Chicken’s story, readers will understand
why Chicken never gave up on that Blessed hope. Jesus uses Chicken’s life to
teach others that we are not hopeless, but we are loved. As his children we
have all the promises He has given us, when we receive Jesus as our Savior, He
