David Burrows’ book, Cauliflower Is a Fraud. ($14.49, paperback, 9781631294563; $7.99, e-book, 9781631294570), is available for purchase.

In his book, Cauliflower Is A Fraud, David Burrows explores what it means to live the authentic Christian life. As fewer and fewer Americans claim to be Christians, it is increasingly important that those who do follow Jesus live authentic lives. For too long, American Christianity has settled for a watered down and inauthentic faith. We follow our own paths, live life on our terms, and do as we please, then we call this Christianity. It’s not, it’s a fraud, and readers must learn to live authentic lives.

Key chapters in his book include:

·      Foolish mortals

·      Who gets to be God?

·      Quit making stuff up

·      The worst case of faith, ever

·      The Father at the end of the road

“You can’t be the God of your own life, but you can an authentic follower of Jesus. Be real, not a fraud,” said Burrows.

In 1980 David Burrows began his ministry as Youth Minister at Northside Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. Now, almost forty years later, he is Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He earned a BA from Trinity University in San Antonio and an MDiv and DMin from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. With numerous stops serving churches in Texas, David has grown to understand the importance of living the authentic Christian life. David and his wife, Debbie, married in 1982 and have one daughter, Kelly.
