Author Jan DiMaggio shares a delightful story about “Lubble” the lamb with young readers and adults in Trouble with Lubble ($29.99, paperback, 9781662818332; $39.99, hardcover, 9781662818349; $6.99, e-book, 9781662818356).

In refreshing poetic rhyme, DiMaggio’s story focuses on a not so ordinary shepherd that discovers one of his cantankerous sheep is missing. She patterned her adorable tale on the Bible parable, “Ninety-Nine Sheep” (Luke 15:4). Young readers will be captivated to follow the story’s twists and turns as “Lubble” the lost lamb, comes face to face with sin and sin’s consequences, revealing his dire need to be reunited with his shepherd. Children and adult readers alike, will identify with the prideful lamb, his ultimate choices and be drawn to the gentleness and grace of relying on the divine heavenly Shepherd.

When my mother passed away from a long bout of cancer, I was sent searching for my identity and a place to belong,” said DiMaggio. “I was overwhelmed with God's grace and love as He visited me physically, surrounding my entire being with the truth of ‘whose’ I was and that He had created me exactly the way I am on purpose! I am ‘His’!”

According to DiMaggio, from that moment on, she blossomed in God’s love, care and provision for her and never once questioned where she belonged. Just like "Lubble" the lamb, not without trouble nor tests, she always understood that her Lord knows best. DiMaggio has a passion for others to know and experience this kind of unconditional love and peace. She believes God is holding his arms out wide open for all to come "home" to their Creator.

Jan DiMaggio currently serves as the Founder/Director of Head ‘Em Up Christian Ministries, a non-profit equine therapeutic riding center that focuses on introducing broken children to their Creator and ultimate healer while working with horses. DiMaggio is a proud grandmother and animal lover who for the past 25 years has devoted her time encouraging children as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor and a children's church teacher. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, fishing, writing poetry and drawing, all centered on growing her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and bringing others to the knowledge of where they belong.
