LONGWOOD, FL-Once upon a time in the ancient land of Israel, the shepherds near the town of Bethlehem possessed several puppies named Jordan, Gabriel, and Olivia--small animals that became known as the puppies of true piety. In all their days, these puppies worshipped the great Redeemer, Jesus Christ, when others did not, and even when many men of great iniquity sought His crucifixion. After his resurrection, Jesus--who entered the earth for mankind's salvation--saved not only man but, due to the prayerful piety of this small group of humble puppies, saved them as well. Within the pages of The Puppies of Christ ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-60791-839-4), a new release from Allen Holden, the author tells a story about the eternal rewards of true piety.

"This is a story that has never been told, a story found near the Temple Mount in the land of Israel written by a great apostle," the author says. "It has been written again for our age in time."

Holden, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, has seen many images of the birth of Christ where He is surrounded by animals--and, he says, at times there were puppies there. It is his belief that puppies at times may have greatly assisted Christ's salvation of the world in certain areas greatly better than humans. That is why he penned this simple story for all Christians, but especially for children. It is his hope that the message contained within it will resonate with people from all walks of life, causing them to accept Christ as their Savior and embrace the salvation He offers.
