Co-authors release devotional with more than 50 personal narratives

2008-07-07

LONGWOOD, FL-Women of Passions (paperback), a new release from co-authors Jan Ross and Jeanice McDade, is a superb compilation of stories and inspirational writings wherein women from different backgrounds and walks of life open their hearts with a fresh perspective of the following ageless questions: Why do bad things happen to good people? Why me? These stories, which reveal how God uses ordinary women to display His extraordinary power through not so extraordinary life situations, will lead the readers to their knees in prayer, to their feet in thanksgiving, or to the phone to share this information with their closest friend. The book was designed to be used as a devotional, to be shared in a small group setting for discussion, or to be read alone when there are only a few free minutes in the reader's busy day. Filled with more than 50 personal narratives, true-to-life experiences, and inspirational pieces from 26 unique authors, the book will resonate with readers seeking to find hope, strength, and faith amid their life's journey.

Say the co-authors, "The book is a portrait of ordinary women whose lives have been impacted by an extraordinary God, painting a picture of women as God sovereignly created them-[as] passionately unique individuals who have an unlimited capacity to love, laugh, cry, nurture, and forgive, [and who are] replete with emotion and purpose."

Both Ross and McDade share a combined résumé that establishes their authority as women of passions. Ross is an ordained licensed minister, while McDade is certified as a lay minister in women's ministries and holds various Christian counseling certifications. Both are mothers of large families, short-term missionaries, freelance writers, and developers of international evangelistic ministries.
