LONGWOOD, FL--For the first time ever, Rev. Mel C. Montgomery's new Xulon Press Title, The Genuine Flow ($17.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-958-6; $32.99, hardcover, 978-1-60957-853-4; $8.99, eBook, 978-1-61215-075-8), tells the inside story of the common origins of two prominent Charismatic ministries that have been at the forefront of the Charismatic movement for the last 20 years: Houston's Lakewood Church now pastored by Joel and Victoria Osteen and Tulsa's Rhema Ministries, presided over by Kenneth W. Hagin. With the cooperation of the Osteen and Hagin families, Mel Montgomery tells how the founders of these two ministries--John and Dodie Osteen, and Kenneth and Oretha Hagin--developed into their powerful Charismatic ministries under the instruction of the Rev. and Mrs. J.R. Goodwin. Readers learn how to operate in "the genuine flow" of the Holy Spirit that was experienced by John Osteen, Kenneth Hagin Sr., and other faith giants such as Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlman, F. F. Bosworth, Bishop C. H. Mason, and Oral Roberts.

"My book is designed," says Rev. Montgomery, "to help the reader will shift from reading about the power of the Holy Spirit, into actually experiencing the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts in a biblical and balanced manner."

Rev. Montgomery, who has ministered publicly in spiritual gifts for more than 20 years, was personally mentored by the Goodwins, who had sat in the meetings of Smith Wigglesworth and mentored Kenneth Hagin, Sr., John Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, and many other major Charismatic ministers of recent years. The Genuine Flow cuts through all the gimmicks and hype and sets before the reader a clear picture of exactly how the faith giants of the past flowed in the Holy Spirit--and how the reader can too.

Billye Brim will introduce The Genuine Flow to the public at her 2010 Autumn Assembly of Prayer Annual Prayer Conference Oct. 28 - Nov. 1 in Branson Missouri. Held each year at the Branson Hilton Convention Center, this meeting is one of the largest yearly Charismatic gatherings. Speakers this year include Billye Brim, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, and Lynne Hammond. Copies of The Genuine Flow will be available for purchase, and author Mel Montgomery will be present to autograph copies.
