MAITLAND, FL— Author Terry Buethe’s new release, Masks: Devotions of Hope for the Downcast, ($10.99, paperback, 9781498411134; $5.99, e-book, 9781498411141) is a devotional book that is designed to assist people dealing with depression, or who may feel overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. The devotions address the direct effects of depression, such as: feelings of isolation, hopelessness, feeling defeated, et cetera. The author also brings to light his personal revelation of “masks,” and how the concept plays a large part in today’s society.

“Hopefully, these devotions will help people understand that they are not alone as they suffer the symptoms and side issues of depression, or being overwhelmed,” states the author. “The devotions are intended to lift people up and give them hope so they might be able to reconnect with family, friends, and God.”

Terry Buethe holds Master’s degrees in both sacred theology and pastoral ministry from Concordia Seminary (LCMS), and a Master of Arts in educational psychology from the University of Nebraska. Since 2011, he has been sole pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, in Yuma, Colorado.
