MAITLAND, FL— Within her new book, Vicky: The Flower Girl, ($13.99, paperback, 9781498423311; $22.99, hardcover, 9781498423328; $6.99, e-book, 9781498423335) Aimee-Lynn Johnson drives home the point that only God can fill the holes in our lives. The storyline of her fictional novel is carefully thought out, and is God-glorifying in every way. One of the main characters, Vicky, is a young girl with a very special gift, who is being hunted by a pair of kidnappers. The other main character, an adult named Cara, feels stuck in life—but God doesn't leave her in emptiness. As soon she is done praying, hope comes knocking at her door.

“I hope that my book is a positive and uplifting novel; but even more than that I hope that God uses my book as a tool in peoples' lives by God meeting people where they are as they read,” states the author. “I know that God impacts lives, and I want people to experience the hope of God's love and grace.”

At seventeen, Aimee-Lynn Johnson was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. It was difficult when she first received the diagnosis, because her first thought was that it was just one more thing to make her different. The author explains, “The truth is that this is how God made be to be. I am different, and I always have been. Now, there’s a name to it, but the greatest thing I can be is who God created me to be. In writing Vicky: The Flower Girl, I am sharing the passion God has given me for Him and for writing, and I am sharing Jesus in a unique way. I was once lost, but now I am found. My identity is Christ Jesus, and on no other ground shall I stand.”
