“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Eccl 3:1).
So begins Seasons of Life, which Aundrea Harris immediately began writing when feeling the commission of God. Struggling with initial composition, she decided to surrender and let God process her.
A season is expected to be different from what came before, and it is by its nature temporary. The fundamental characteristic of a season is change, a fact of life with which most of us are, at best, uncomfortable.
Sincere and friendly—even intimate—this is a readable, inspirational and emotionally affecting work. Seasons of Life is worth returning to again and again not only in times of trial, but also in the aftermath of change as you nod thinking, Thanks, Lord. I’ll try to not fight You so much next time.
