This is a story about a Mule deer buck which follows his life from birth to death. It also depicts the inter-action between the Christensen family and Buckwheat, and his wild friends. It is an attempt to demonstrate just one small part of God's amazing creation.
While serving in a career as a Naval Officer and pilot, the author’s dream was to some day build and own a log cabin in the mountains of the west. This dream took many years to come to fruition. After finally being built, it has provided well over thirty years of wonderful memories, many having to do with their wildlife friends that inhabit Beaver Valley.
The author and his wife, Diane, reside in Bonita, California. The cabin in Beaver Valley is still their “Escape Place!”
