Anglicanism today is experiencing an identity crisis. The conflicts that have arisen
from the battle between those who hold to Biblical standards of orthodoxy and
those liberals of the theological left have left Anglicans struggling to redefine
what actually constitutes the essentials of their tradition and where they stand
within the context of the greater Catholic Church. In this book, Bishop Redmile
seeks to reacquaint his fellow Anglicans with the orthodox doctrine of their
tradition in regard to the Sacraments and Ministry of the Church, and to make
a case for the historical continuity of their lines of Apostolic Succession and the
validity of their ministerial Orders. This work will be of immense interest to any
Anglicans concerned with recovering a true understanding of their heritage, and
of value to those Anglicans involved in working towards achieving reconciliation
with their Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox brethren.
