Life on an Iowa farm instilled in Aletha a deep faith. She taught in Lutheran schools, was a tax preparer, and frequent volunteer. Through a variety of experiences as wife of Chaplain Ethan Voges, she began recording lessons learned and insights gained while walking with God.
After Ethan’s death, Aletha wrote My Will, God’s Response: God’s Will, My Response, a devotional chronicling Ethan’s trials and God’s blessings to others. Living in God’s Will and the urging of friends led to this book.
