Lane is gullible enough to believe in the merging of modern Christianity with the legacy of our Christian forefathers. The result is not so much a powerful church from inside, but outside the walls where Holy Spirit–filled laymen shine brightest. Lane is simple minded enough to encourage what James said in chapter 2 verse 18 of the Bible, “Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
