Make the bleeding stop!!!
The stitches pull my flesh together and bandages cover my wounds. But who is stitching my heart, my emotions, my spirit, my soul?
In the frozen tundra of domestic abuse, the very life of my naked body is withering away—drip by drip, red flowing relentlessly on the white snow. I’m vulnerable, I’m lost, I’m stuck, I’m alone, I’m dying.
Then the light of God’s shelter shines a glow in the darkness. He beckons me, “Come!” He calls me toward the Healer. I long for His touch. I crawl through the frigid darkness, reaching out my frozen hand, and He pulls me through the doorway into the warmth of His arms.
God speaks to abuse. He is there for you!
He stands strongly against it. He wraps you in fur and pleads to embrace you tightly. Find His refuge. He’s there!
This devotional book earnestly seeks God and His Word
to face the reality and sin of domestic abuse,
and take steps toward healing.
It is for anyone who has lived in abuse
by being bullied, castigated, ignored, abandoned,
rejected, humiliated, or assaulted.
