Shirley C. Iheanacho resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband, Morris, of more than 47 years. Prior to her return to the United States in December 1979, she taught secretarial science at the Adventist Seminary of West Africa (now Babcock University) located in Nigeria, West Africa. She is retired, but travels extensively and is involved in mission outreach projects with her husband as far away as Mozambique, Ghana, and Panama.
She is the recipient of numerous awards; among her favorites are Distinguished Service, Liveliest Encourager, and Second Mile Service.
Morris and Shirley have been blessed with three lovely daughters: Ngozi, Chioma, Akunna; and two handsome grandsons: Nikolas and Timothy.
