Why another book on Islam?
Given the dynamics of our shrinking world where once distant peoples now share neighborhoods, work-places and university classrooms, the time has come for Christians and Muslims to stop talking about each other and start talking to each other and with each other. For too long we have allowed third parties to define us, leaving us mutually diminished. Lost is the recognition of our shared humanity, the chance for friendship and much-needed clarity about our beliefs.
This book tackles questions that Muslims, if given the chance, would like to ask devoted Christians. These arise naturally from topics and events addressed in both the Scriptures and the Qur’an. Many Christians must ramp-up their understanding and Muslims deserve answers about Christian beliefs that are informed, clear and charitable. This conversational tool will help Muslims and Christians meaningfully navigate matters considered by both to be of supreme importance: God and Scripture.
