Born in Colorado, the author has come to the belief that life is a pilgrimage.
He came to know Jesus Christ as Savior in New Mexico. While living in
West Texas, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist
College. In South Texas, the author accepted his call into the ministry.
He then received his M. Div. degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological
Seminary. After being ordained into the Gospel ministry Louisiana, the author
has pastored churches in Mississippi for several years.
The author met and married Ann, his Mississippi Queen. Together they are
raising three sons of the South; Joe, Stephen and Jacob; each a rebel with
his own cause, and each saved by the grace of God.
“You Might Need Revival If” is an attempt to examine the meaning of Christian
revival in a unique way. Believing that God is the Creator of all things, including
laughter, the author tries to look at revival from its humorous side; and at the
same time, express the need for joy in the heart of every Christian. This joy
can only come from knowing the God of all creation, Who loves us and wants
to bless us with a happiness that transcends earthly emotions. Using stories,
cartoons and jokes, as well as a Bible verse, Psalm 85:6, the author tries to
answer the question, “Do you need revival?”
