In 1974 Jan McLaughlin had a life changing visit from Jesus who impassioned her with desire to share his amazing love with all who would listen. After living for years in a different sort of prison, Jan understood the feeling of hopelessness most prisoners live with. In 1987, she founded a ministry of prayer and outreach to prisoners, Prayer for Prisoners International (PFPI), which reaches prisoners throughout the world. Jan writes a monthly column, Light For The Journey, in the southern Colorado Senior Beacon. This book is a collection of some of those articles.
Jan lives with her husband, Rick, in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Colorado, where she divides her time between overseeing PFPI, camping, skydiving and repelling into fault fractures with her four grown children, fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
