Being born in sin, we have a sin nature, and the result of sin is death. But by the grace of God, Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross for humankind redeemed man from sin and death. After receiving salvation, a gift from God through Jesus Christ, man is reconciled with God. God being a God of love, justifies sinful humankind and makes him acceptable to a holy God, that is, He declares us just and right before Him.
Moving from salvation to sanctification is a process that is guided by the Holy Spirit who lives in the believer.
It is true that Satan is the temporary ruler of this world, but we are all going to have to stand before Jesus Christ and be judged according to God’s principles and standards on the Day of Judgment. Those of us whose names will be listed in the Book of Life will spend eternal life with God worshiping and praising Him forever.
