Trekking those old deer trails often lasted past dusk. We would gaze up at the night sky in hopes of seeing a falling star whiz across the velvet black of space. Sometimes we camped beneath a pensive night sky, huddled against the campfire to keep warm. We fell asleep dreaming of traveling the universe in a star-ship in search of new worlds. Other times we imagined traveling through the mountains of India on the backs of elephants. We never once dreamed of growing older.
