Living Waters: Daily Devotionals for a Renewed Spirit by Dr. James O. Parker III is a spiritual guide inspired by John 4:13–14 (NKJV), where Jesus offers "living water" that leads to eternal life. This devotional emphasizes the lasting spiritual nourishment found in a relationship with Christ, contrasting it with the temporary satisfaction of the physical world. With over 200 devotionals, Dr. Parker encourages readers to seek daily renewal through prayer, reflection, and meditation on God's Word. Each entry is crafted to refresh the spirit, much like water renews the body, reminding readers of the continuous flow of grace, hope, and strength found in Christ. The central message: just as we need daily physical sustenance, our souls require ongoing spiritual nourishment. This book invites readers to draw closer to God and experience the peace, healing, and vitality that come from drinking deeply of the "living water" Jesus freely offers.

My name is Dr. James O. Parker, III, a native of Hampton, Virginia. I accepted Christ at an early age and answered His call to ministry in 2001, ordained by Pastor Steve Parson, Sr. I have served in several churches and currently pastor Great Faith Christian Center International in Northern Virginia, where I’ve been since 2004—first as youth pastor, now as senior pastor. I’ve ministered globally, including Iraq, Japan, Uganda, Ireland, Canada, and Germany. I also teach ministers in Uganda, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
Educationally, I hold a B.S. in Governmental Administration, an MBA in Logistics, an MA in Theology, and a Doctorate in Christian Counseling. I’ve also authored Basic Crisis Guide for Pastors, Leaders, and Ministers. A U.S. Army veteran, I served from 1987–2017, retiring as a senior logistician.
I have been married to Brenda D. Parker for over 37 years, and we have four children. My mission is to spread God’s word and make disciples.
