Davis Morgan, unable to deal with the pressures of the ministry after the death of his wife, Julie, returns to his home town of Adairsville, Georgia to open the Corra Harris Bookshop. After discovering the body of his former handyman, he himself is mysteriously stalked by a villain he knows as the “Rat Faced Man”. Davis and Charley, a young policeman, find themselves in harms way time and time again as they endeavor to solve the mystery that somehow connects to an infant known as “Dixie Adair” found ninety years earlier alive in a shallow grave. In addition, Amy, Davis’ daughter, and her roommate, Deidre must be protected. Davis’ reunion with a beautiful former cheerleader brings potential for romance back into his life. Through the ordeal Davis gradually comes to recognize and lean on the truths found in Psalm 30.
Danny and Wanda Pelfrey are both veteran writers. Wanda, a retired teacher, is the author of such books as MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR CHILD’S TEACHABLE MOMENTS and CELEBRATE THE BIBLE. She has also written curriculum for various publishing houses. Danny is Minister of First Christian Church in Adairsville Georgia and the author of ONE-WAY CHOICES IN A WRONG-WAY WORLD. He has written numerous articles for religious publications as well as a weekly newspaper column. They are the parents of two daughters and five grandchildren. OUT OF THE DEPTHS is their first work of fiction.
