This is a story about one man
Batt Holliday is not my real name. I am eighty three years old. I was born and raised in West Virginia. After serving three years in the US Marine Corps, I found work in Cleveland, Ohio. I married an Ohio girl in nineteen sixty. We were blessed with five children. Three girls and two boys. Our oldest daughter passed away early this year (2015) the victim of leukemia. I live in a small resort town on the shores of Lake Erie.
I was raised in a holiness church (The Church Of God) in Elkins, WV , and I wish I could say that I had been a devout Christian all my life, but unfortunately, like most people I went astray. In the Holy Bible in the book of proverbs, chapter twenty two, verse six, it says: 6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. This was my case. I had to get old before I returned to it. I was about sixty when I finally returned to it. I thank God He let me live long enough to write this book.
