First, and most without a doubt, a person cannot be truly passionate for Jesus without knowing Him personally. Zeal without knowledge is foolishness; no one is benefited by passionate ignorance. The relationship with Christ is based on God's grace through faith Ephesians 2:8-9 states “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.” And first John 3:23 says, "this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us." Therefore, it goes without saying that we cannot love someone we do not know so to be in love with God, one needs to get to know Him. He has revealed Himself in character, but so much more through His Word. We need to make daily confession of our love for Him a perpetual habit, as much a part of our lives as eating every day. We would do well to remember that the Bible is more than a book; it is truly God’s love letter to us, revealing His love for us through the ages, especially through the ministry of Jesus Christ, His Son. We must read the Bible asking His Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts and by memorizing significant verses and passages is also essential, as it remind us of ways God love and die for us.
About the Author
E. M. Joyce spent her childhood with her nose between the covers of a book-a habit she retains. After years spent working as a Loan Administration Manager preparing reports and official correspondences, she decided to follow her passion for helping people in all aspects by ministering through writing, which is something she really enjoys. Her love for the written word revealed what she really loves to do, which is sharing God love for us.
Despite her office-bound commitments she has managed some time to write. She and her husband have been married for thirty-two years and they currently reside in the beautiful island of Nassau, Bahamas. They have five wonderful children and two beautiful grand children.
