Author: Paul E. Linebaugh’s Precious Memories is a moving collection of stories and memories of the authors last years with his wife Nancy, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for the last 20 years of her life, and was a figure of faith and resilience throughout the trials with her health. That faith and resilience, and the families love and support, shines as an inspiration on every page.
Precious stories of the couple’s years together, from their vacation across the United States, to their holidays with family and friends, to their church and support relationships, fill every page, along with antidotes of how the progression of Nancy’s Alzheimer’s disease changed day-to-day life forever. Throughout it all, the author displays an unwavering faith in God to see him and his family through the suffering and trials. From visits with children and grandchildren, to touching stories of communicating with one another in love despite the barriers of the disease, these stories of faithfulness will inspire readers for years to come.
Full-color photos and excerpts from Scripture in Nancy’s journal are included on nearly every page, in addition to the moving stories provided by the author, making the book a true treasure trove of memories for family, friends, and readers encountering Alzheimer’s disease in their own lives.

Paul E. Linebaugh is an 89-year-old retired public school administrator who retired with his wife Nancy to South Carolina. He cared for Nancy as an Alzheimer’s patient in their home for the last twenty years, until she went to her home in Heaven with Jesus. Paul first noticed Nancy at the age of sixteen, when she was singing in the church choir. They held hands for the next sixty-nine years. Their faith in God helped them through the “ups and downs” of their sixty-four-year marriage.
