Steven Swaim is a husband, father, former-pastor, and writer. He has a BAS degree in church ministry and leadership from Dallas Baptist University, where he graduated cum laude in 2010. He is also the founder and president of Be Devoted Ministries. Steven and his family reside in Dallas, Texas. He has been involved with ministries that range from helping urban and suburban churches to being an evangelist preaching to various congregations throughout East and Northeast Texas. In his thirty-plus years in ministry, he has been an AWANA commander, an evangelist, a Sunday school teacher, a men’s ministry teacher, a bus ministry administrator, a singles director, a director of outreach, a minister of education, and a youth pastor, and he has acted as interim pastor in more than a dozen Baptist churches. Steven’s experience and education equips him to discuss life with a deep understanding of faith in the midst of suffering. In these devotional studies, that depth will become apparent as you read and come to a deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ while facing the pain that life often brings. He is presently attending the BMA Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX while working on his Masters of Divinity degree.
