This is a much-needed book for these times of violence we are living in today. The true story of author George Marrero, is a story that must be told. WILLING TO CHANGE speaks of the life of a young man that grew up in the Bronx of New York City in the 70s and 80s. When change and new ideas where coming about. Yet, the ghettos and Housing Projects of N. Y. C. were just as violent, as prosperity was prosperous in areas of positive change. The author, coming from a dysfunctional family made of the streets his new family. He became part of the neighborhood crew which lead him into more violence and prison. When all hope appeared to be lost he was given a second chance through faith and education. This story shows the transformation in a person which is willing to change.
The Author is a Professor of Religion and History. He has completed a bachelors degree in Christian Education in the Theological University of the Caribbean in Saint Just, Puerto Rico. Then went on to completed a Master’s in Religion from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico and is currently working on his PhD in History of the Americas in the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. George Marrero, currently resides with his wife and children in Connecticut.
