In Jerusalem's Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, in the section of the "Righteous Gentiles," we find the names of many Evangelicals. They're all dead.
G-d's Final Connection wants to encourage Evangelicals to be more Evangelical, and Jewish people to be more Jewish, while they're still alive. The author hopes to see these people connect with God and with each other. For this to happen, Evangelicals in particular must become informed about the Jewish people and learn to relate to them without offending or alienating them.
The book is also meant as a tool to be used by those who are of influence. It has a sharp edge and therefore must be handled properly. It may be used to remove faulty thinking. It is not intended to inflict pain or be used to manipulate.
It is also an invitation to Jewish people to learn what a TRUE Christian is all about.
DIRK J. VAN DALEN, born in the Netherlands, had little awareness of Jewish people until the day they appeared in public wearing a yellow star. Dirk spent five years under Nazi occupation, and graduated from high school in absentia as by then he was engaged in "underground" activities.
Van Dalen arrived in America in 1956 after serving ten years in the military in the Netherlands and Indonesia. A Stephen minister certified in Evangelism Explosion, and having taken M.B.I. courses, Dr. van Dalen earned his master's and doctor of religious education degrees from Evangelical Bible Seminary in Florida, and his doctor of theology from Carolina University of Theology, North Carolina.
With his wife, he founded Community Care-Giving Ministry, a not-for-profit charitable and educational ministry. He attends Melech Yisrael Messianic Synagogue. He's a member of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. He and his wife, Karen, are connected with Berean Baptist Church in West Palm Beach. They live in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
