JANET G. BALFOUR holds her degree in elementary education and psychology from the University of Colorado. She is a veteran teacher and writer with thirty years of experience. Teaching every subject in first through fifth grades in four different states has given her a wide range of knowledge. Cypress- Fairbanks ISD named her Spotlight Teacher of the Year in 1995 for her role in student success.
She delighted in teaching and telling stories to her students. Each story from her personal experiences and imagination taught concepts and understandings. She was known as the school's storyteller. Her students loved reading and learning about new things. Mrs. Balfour is also the author of Help! My Kids Schoolwork is Driving Me Crazy!
