Gayle M. Gilmore is an associate minister at her home church in Portsmouth, Virginia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Old Dominion University. She is a middle school guidance director for the Chesapeake Public Schools. Other published books include It Can’t Be Boring: A Christian Youth Program for Difficult Times. Her play, The Last Laugh, has been enjoyed by many audiences in southeastern Virginia. She has conducted numerous workshops on many Christian topics in Virginia and North Carolina. Gayle lives in Chesapeake, Virginia, with her husband, Rev. James E. Gilmore Sr., daughter Candy, and son James Jr.
