MARY ANN SHEPARD ASH is a graduate art major from Andrews School (a vocational boarding school for girls) in Willoughby, Ohio. Studying voice professionally since the age of eight, she was accepted into the Conservatory of Music in Cleveland, Ohio, as a voice major. She also studied two years as an early childhood education major at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. She taught preschool and kindergarten for ten years, and directed church plays and musicals as well. While an occupational therapy major at Mt. Aloysius Junior College in Cresson, Pennsylvania, Mary Ann sang in the Madrigal Singers on radio and television. During the summer she sang across Europe with The Performing Arts Abroad. She worked with the handicapped and mentally disabled in a group home as a housemother in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Mary Ann and her family live in Wichita, Kansas.
