Putting Israel Back in the Picture
We saw the Door, not the Israel sheepfold behind the Door. We were blinded by an angel of light into thinking the Western Gentile church was the sheepfold. We thought (wrongly) that ours was the kingdom of God; Israel was out, Jesus was all ours. Seminary-trained Pelham Gross believed this for decades. He states that it's impossible to relegate Israel to less than her biblical role. To replace Israel with the church is wrong and dangerous because nothing in the Bible suggests God will ever change His mind about Israel's essential role in world politics or the individual lives of believers. In challenging traditional thinking, Pelham says what has ruled for centuries can no longer be accepted as situation normal by anybody willing to let the Bible speak for itself.
"Very pithy, amazing and popular style message is important…could do a lot of good."

Pelham Gross grew up on the family farm and studied at Mississippi State to become an agriculture teacher. Called to preach in 1951 after receiving a BS degree, he went on to graduate in 1955 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Hebrew and Greek major. He was filled with the Spirit in 1962. A wreck on a Mexico mission trip in November 1966 partially paralyzed him but God brought him "through many dangers, toils and snares" in ministry. When the newspaper had reported him killed, why did God keep him alive? Could it be to experience this overpowering revelation about Israel's key role in this Revelation generation? Pelham tells how the Spirit shocked him into Israel-alertness. The Church Has Not Replaced God's Israel follows The Jews and the Blues (Xulon Press, 2003).
Pelham and his wife, DeDe, have moved to Branson, Missouri, to work with Jim and Lori Bakker.
