Donna M Hall grew up with an abusive father, only to grow up and marry an abusive man. She was raised in the rural town of Wadesboro NC where the movie "Color Purple" was filmed. In fact she lived in walking distance of the filming of that unforgettable movie. She chose to break the cycle of violence in her family. That was the inspiration for this book. She is a proud mother of two. They experienced lots of trials when she chose to leave her husband to start their new life without violence. A portion of the proceeds of this book will be used as monetary support for families experiencing abuse.
