Laugh And Pray Today is a collection of poems, some
funny and some containing Bible truths. It’s for all boys and girls everywhere,
even those in their second childhood.
I mixed poems together in this way because I believe our God is filled with
love and joy. I don’t see Him as a dark, somber God, but rather One who loves
to laugh, and One who delights in His children.
The message I want to convey to children is that once they have exchanged their
life for the life of Christ, and are born again, they can relax and be at peace
with themselves. They can put smiles on their faces and enjoy life as they
experience the love and joy that only comes with knowing Jesus Christ in a
personal way.
About the Author
Charles Armstrong is the author of Little Bad Bubba-The Kid People Loved to Hate. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Western College and a master’s degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Charles began his Christian walk in the late 1940’s at Summit Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. He was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas, and Sattahip, Thailand.
He taught Sunday school for fourteen years and middle school for thirty years. As a middle school teacher, he was twice elected Teacher of the Year.
He lives with his wife, Carol, in El Paso, Texas.
