The book of Esther from the Bible is such a captivating story that a lot of works from literature, arts and television are based upon it. This true story chronicles the life of Queen Esther and how God saved the lives of the Jews from their oppressor, Haman. The celebration of Purim is still celebrated annually by the Jewish people. Every chapter of Esther is carefully detailed in rhyme and measure without being tedious but easy to understand. While it deals primarily on the story of Esther, it illustrates how many lives can be influenced and saved when one person takes a stand for the lives of her people, though she put her own life at risk.
