As little children, my brothers and I would climb up on our Grandma’s bed and ask if she could tell us some stories. One of the stories most requested during visits was Bird with the Broke Wing. I can remember feeling sad that the big beautiful Maple, Oak and Elm Trees treated the poor little bird with the broken wing so nastily when it was probably scared and lonely. But thankfully enough, help was always around the corner with the Pine, Fir, and Juniper Trees coming to the rescue. Even as a little one, I decided that I wanted to be more like the Pine, Fir and Juniper Trees- helping those in need. It is my hope that this little story will bless the next generations of little ones to come as much as it blessed me so very many years ago.
