A small Southern town in the Upstate of South Carolina, known as Central, is the main setting for the Head family and the many stories shared and passed down for generations. These stories are intertwined with legends, tales, and historical facts to examine life in the early to mid-1900’s.
Other locations in South Carolina and Western North Carolina are included in these stories as well.
Life at a simple place and time, long before technology ruled the world, is presented. Even though simple and basic, this way of life served as the foundation for growth and the opportunities seen today. Armed with ingenuity, intelligence, and a strong work ethic, numerous business endeavors were developed. Having limitless faith, as well as the ability to love and to see the good in people, the Head family forged generations of good will. The love of God and Country was practiced. Landmarks were developed and remain in place today for others to follow.
