Jim and his wife Susan are partners of Surviving Religion Ministries, a ministry dedicated to helping people and churches overcome church offenses and wounds caused by wrongful actions and behaviors associated with religion or religious attitudes within the church. This book complements and builds on its more personal counterpart Surviving Religion: A personal journey of overcoming church offenses and wounds. It provides an insightful and practical perspective that can benefit the individual reader or be used as a foundational teaching resource in small group or church settings. Jim and Susan rely on years of personal experiences through ministry to address some of the most difficult and avoided topics associated with church wounds or offenses. The book is intended to not only help bring about healing, reconciliation and restoration for individuals affected by church hurts; but also, effectively identify many of the major areas of concern that contribute to the increasing decline in church attendance.
