Lessons Dogs Teach Us discusses the lessons we learn from the carefree love and devotional behavior of dogs, and how this knowledge can illustrate the love we should have for God, who saved us through His Son Jesus. The author, a professional dog trainer and kennel owner, shares her insight about dogs, in hopes that as we love our furry friends, we can grow in the same love and devotion with our heavenly Father.
“Anyone who has ever loved a dog will enjoy this book Cindy opens our hearts to the lessons God has taught her through working with dogs. A perfect gift for the dog lover in your life.” Susan Parris, author, Cancer Mom
“Lessons Dogs Teach Us combines practical advice about dog training with meditations on passages from the Bible that impact our daily lives. Cindy asks us to consider how we respond to and interact both with the creatures who depend on us and with our own Creator. A perfect book for devotional study.”  Kathryn Orth, freelance writer, dog lover
“A delightful read for animal lovers. Cindy relates God’s love for His creation – human and animal alike. Lessons Dogs Teach Us is a great addition to your family’s personal library!”  Sue McGuire, retired librarian

Although Cindy is a retired pharmacist, she has been training dogs her entire life. At age ten, on her own, she taught her black Labrador Retriever to come, sit, down, stay, and heel, and she showed him in Junior Showmanship at dog shows with several placements.
As an adult, her first two dogs were Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties). Her second Sheltie, Forest, was her first agility dog. She put numerous obedience and agility titles on him and they competed at the national level in agility. Cindy assisted and later taught obedience classes for a local dog club.
In 2002, her husband Jim and she launched their own dog training business and boarding kennel. She has put numerous obedience, rally, and agility titles on two Belgian Tervuren and two more Shelties.
Working with the public as a dog trainer, Cindy has worked with all types of dogs from Great Danes to Weimaraners, to small dogs such as Dachsunds.
