The first chapters of this book take us to Colonial America and a study of this Nation’s Christian Foundation. The following chapters consider the Christian’s role in our political world. A chapter on Dietrich Bonhoeffer of Germany adds insight regarding the Christian’s involvement in politics. The author is fully aware of America’s moral and political breakdown, but sees the promise of Restoration in Christ.
David Pett was born into a deeply religious farm family in 1930 in Southern Wisconsin, and was soundly converted to Christ at age 18 in 1930. He soon married Evelyne, attended St. Paul Bible College and entered the ministry, pastoring Alliance churches in the Midwest and West Coast. Since officially retiring in 1999, he continues to contribute Biblical and Historic Truth to the Body of Christ.
