It is my prayer that my book “Against All Odds” be a blessing to many people across the globe of all walks of life and ultimately change lives, for me to write this book was God’s divine purpose and assignment for my life that I had to get done because this was a part of my destiny to share my personal life experiences from childhood to adulthood with the world because everything that you go through is not just for you but ultimately it is to bless somebody else’s life often times we don’t understand certain things we had to go through in our personal lives and also certain things that had to happen to us but those things that we had to go through it was very imperative that we had those encounters and I share a lot of my deepest experiences and some secrets that I kept to myself but I felt that it was very urgent that I share my personal experiences in life with the world. This book is about perseverance, determination, and survival that all comes through a covenant relationship with the Lord Jesus with God on your side you can make it through anything you can come out of any situation and I show that in this book in spite of what your family background was or is you can make it.
Apostle Melvin Lyons was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 1993 When the Lord begin to order his steps toward ministry. In 1999, while under the powerful teaching and leadership of Bishop Noel Jones at the City of Refuge (formerly Greater Bethany Community Church of Los Angeles, CA), Apostle Melvin Lyons was saved, sanctified, baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God gave utterance (Acts 2:38). One year later he was called to the ministry to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Apostle Melvin Lyons also attended Aenon Bible College in the city of Carson, CA. He is now the pastor and founder of A NEW LEVEL OF GLORY FAMILY CHURH, a healing and deliverance ministry. Pastor Lyon's motto is "All Things Work Together For Your Good” With influence from his God father, M.C. Hammer, He pursued an acting and rapping career. Touring the United States.
