Shirley Lott is a teacher in the Chicago Heights public school. She received her BS and BA degree at Northeastern Illinois University.

Her spiritual make-up is singing and writing gospel songs. She is Miss. Midwest of 1984 beauty pageant winner at the Nancy B. Jefferson Foundation. Gospel singer Vanessa Brown of The Brown Sisters crowned her. Also, she is proud to be an active NAACP member.
